From the Top - I was extremely fortunate to be able to
fly Tom Wood's (my closest friend for 42 years) beautiful
RV-8 from the front seat. 2.3 hrs, some stalls, slow flight,
rolls and 8 landings later I had what every RV -8 builder would die
to get before he flew the first flight in his own RV. I'm very
grateful to Tom for letting me have that experience. Needless to say
I am rapidly closing in on the end game. The few days I was able to
spend with him & wife Emily answered many of the questions I had
about finishing the project. I will always be greatly indebted
for his courage and trust... Fred
